  1.                       CDC Anthropometric Software Package

  4.                This  software  system,  referred to as the CDC Anthro-
  5.          pometric  Software  Package (C.A.S.P.), is designed to assist
  6.          health care specialists (physicians, public health officials,
  7.          nutritionists,  etc.)  in  their  analysis  of anthropometric
  8.          data.  This  package is subdivided into three major programs,
  9.          ENTRY,  BATCH,  and  TAB.  ENTRY  enables  the computation of
  10.          anthropometric    statistics    (weight/height,   height/age,
  11.          weight/age)  based  on  data  which  the user enters into the
  12.          program.  It  also serves as a database management system for
  13.          such   data.   BATCH   provides  the  capability  to  compute
  14.          anthropometric  statistics  based  on  data  which is read in
  15.          "batch"  fashion  from  a pre-existing data file on diskette.
  16.          TAB  is  a  tabulation  routine which gives the capability of
  17.          generating  tables  sorts  based  on the data gathered in the
  18.          ENTRY and BATCH routines.

  20.          Specific  documentation  and user instruction is provided for
  21.          each  of  these  programs,  under  the  filenames  ENTRY.DOC,
  22.          BATCH.DOC  and  TAB.DOC. These documentation files are stored
  23.          in  ASCII  format  and  are accessible via the Disk Operating
  24.          System.  It  is  recommended  that  first-time users read the
  25.          SYS.DOC   file   prior   to   reading  the  specific  program
  26.          documentation,  since  this  will  give  an  overview  of the
  27.          capacity of the entire software package.
