- CDC Anthropometric Software Package
-
-
- This software system, referred to as the CDC Anthro-
- pometric Software Package (C.A.S.P.), is designed to assist
- health care specialists (physicians, public health officials,
- nutritionists, etc.) in their analysis of anthropometric
- data. This package is subdivided into three major programs,
- ENTRY, BATCH, and TAB. ENTRY enables the computation of
- anthropometric statistics (weight/height, height/age,
- weight/age) based on data which the user enters into the
- program. It also serves as a database management system for
- such data. BATCH provides the capability to compute
- anthropometric statistics based on data which is read in
- "batch" fashion from a pre-existing data file on diskette.
- TAB is a tabulation routine which gives the capability of
- generating tables sorts based on the data gathered in the
- ENTRY and BATCH routines.
-
- Specific documentation and user instruction is provided for
- each of these programs, under the filenames ENTRY.DOC,
- BATCH.DOC and TAB.DOC. These documentation files are stored
- in ASCII format and are accessible via the Disk Operating
- System. It is recommended that first-time users read the
- SYS.DOC file prior to reading the specific program
- documentation, since this will give an overview of the
- capacity of the entire software package.
